Santa Cruz isn’t the only city struggling with a homeless situation.
New data shows that in Santa Clara County the homeless population shot up 31-percent to almost 10-thousand people counted this year. In alameda county… there’s 43-percent more people living on the street.
The numbers come from a nationwide, HUD-mandated effort to gather data on the country’s homeless population.
