An avalanche has closed US Highway 50 south of Lake Tahoe Monday afternoon. The avalanche happened 4 miles south of the lake at 12:30 p-m. One vehicle was temporarily stuck. No injuries were reported. At this time it is unknown when the roadway will re-open.
