(12:01) SANTA CRUZ- Santa Cruz police are investigating a shooting that took place on Friday night. Authorities say that patrol units responded to reports of a shooting victim on the 600 block of Ocean Street shortly after 9:30 p.m. At the scene officers located a gunshot victim, who was subsequently transported to a trauma center. Anyone with information on the shooting is encouraged to contact Santa Cruz police.
