(16:01) HOLLISTER – Hollister City Officials are pushing for changes that would make roads safer. Project plans are in the works after 12-year-old Joshua Rodriguez was fatally struck by a bus on Memorial Drive last Monday. Some proposed ideas include narrowing roads to slow cars down, lowering speed limits, and installing roundabouts in areas like Fourth Street and San Juan Road. The city is also looking at putting in an island at Memorial Drive with a new bike lane. Plans for road safety improvements are in early stages and there is not expected start date at this time.
