(07:58) SANTA CRUZ – A man was arrested in Santa Cruz early Monday morning on charges of resisting arrest, probation violation, and being under the influence of drugs. Deputies were dispatched to Moran Way following a report of a suspicious person. 38-year-old Freddie Tanala was found at the scene, swinging scrap metal. Tanala was found to be on probation for drug related offenses and did not follow commands given by deputies. He was apprehended and booked into county jail. (S.G.)
