(12:29) APTOS – Santa Cruz County Parks Department and Supervisor Zach Friend hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for Seacliff Village Park today. Located at the corner of McGregor Drive and Sea Ridge Road in Aptos, the park was part of a local grass roots campaign to prevent the property from becoming a strip-mall. Construction of the park is estimated to conclude in 144 days and will include a lighthouse themed play structure, picnic area, drought tolerant landscaping, and other features.
