11:41 SCOTTS VALLEY – The SVUSD Board of Trustees approved a final plan to rebuild the Scotts Valley Middle School yesterday. According to the plan, construction is expected to start in Summer 2016 and will last through the winter of the next year. The campus would feature a new gym, library, and classrooms, and some buildings will be renewed and upgraded. Funding for the school’s reconstruction comes mostly from a $35 million bond that was passed in 2014. Additional funding is being sought through a state bond, which Californians will vote on in the fall 2016 election.
