(08:15) Santa Cruz County – New information has been released in a rape case in Santa Cruz County. 21 year-old Shawn Cox is accused of having sex with a 14 and 16 year old girls. At this time there are 3 girls who have admitted to having a sexual relationship with Cox. Cox is charged with sexual penetration of an object on someone younger than 18, forcible oral copulation, possession of material depicting a minor engaging in sexual conduct, using a minor for sexual acts, and unlawful intercourse. Cox’s trial is slated to start at 9:00 a.m. on October 10, at Santa Cruz county Superior Court. Cox remains at Santa Cruz County Jail. His bond was set at 150-thosand dollars.
