(08:55) Santa Cruz County – An arraignment is scheduled for a man who is accused of killing his mother at his Santa Cruz apartment. 44 year-old Kasey Gaskell is charged with stabbing and choking his mother to death, 66 year-old Shannon Magner. The incident took place in October of 2016 at Gaskell’s Front Street apartment. Gaskell was on the run for nearly a month when police in Kansas City, Missouri, assisted in the case and arrested him at a homeless shelter. Gaskell’s arraignment is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. on September 13, in Santa Cruz Superior Court. Gaskell remains at Santa Cruz County Jail. His bail was set at $800,000
