(09:54) SCOTTS VALLEY – The Scotts Valley Police Department is participating in a campaign this week to promote student safety. Extra officers will be working near local school zones to strictly enforce traffic violations as part of “Operation Safe Passage”. The goal of the operation is to increase the safety of children commuting to and from school. The campaign begins Wednesday and will continue through September 2. (S.G.)
