(09:46) SCOTTS VALLEY – A meeting is being held in Scotts Valley Wednesday night to discuss a proposed ordinance on gun shops. An increase in the number of gun stores in the city has raised concerns about public safety. The city council is now considering a measure that would regulate firearm dealers through security requirements and zoning measures. If approved, gun stores will need to be at least 500 feet away from schools, day cares and parks. Gun shop owners will also be required to obtain an additional firearms license from the city. The city council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. (S.G.)
