(11:25) SAN LUIS OBISPO/MONTEREY COUNTIES – A project to construct a retaining wall on Highway 1 in northern San Luis Obispo and southern Monterey Counties is underway. As a result, full overnight closures are anticipated from Gorda to Ragged Point until November. Roadwork began June 22 with work taking place Sunday nights through Friday mornings from 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. All local businesses along the coast will remain open during this roadwork, and motorists traveling north and south of these closures are advised to reach their destinations before 10 p.m.
