(17:21) MONTEREY- Monterey Harbor crews cleaned up about 500 pounds of anchovies on Friday. The harbormaster said that Thursday’s die off was due to warmer than usual harbor waters. The water was recorded at 68 degrees, five degrees above normal. The warmer water is ideal for a parasitic disease known as Ich which ultimately killed the fish. The public can expect to see dead anchovies surface for the next three days.
