(07:45) MONTEREY COUNTY – A hearing has been scheduled in a case involving a Salinas city official. In March, Councilman José Castañeda was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license and without proof of insurance. Castañeda has pleaded not guilty to the charges and claims he was harassed by the police who pulled him over. His attorney has since requested a hearing looking into the allegations of officer misconduct. The hearing has been set for September 23. (S.G.)
