(12:20) SANTA CRUZ – Candidate filing has extended for the Place de Mer Geologic Hazard Abatement District Board of Directors. Since the incumbent did not file by the 5 p.m. August 7 deadline, anyone interested in running for the office has until 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 12 to file the necessary paperwork to be a candidate on the November 3, 2015 ballot. Persons interested in running for the office must be a property owner in the Place de Mer Geologic Hazard Abatement District and are encouraged to contact the County Elections Department to obtain a Candidate’s Handbook and other assistance to ensure all filing obligations are met.
