Santa Cruz County Sherriff’s deputies are on the lookout for a man they say attempted to sexually assault a teenage jogger on Thursday. The 17-year-old girl was jogging near Seascape Park in Aptos around half past 5, when she passed by a man standing at the rear of a car. As the victim approached, the man exposed himself and attempted to grab her. The girl was able to run away, and called 9-1-1 from Seascape Park. The man is described as being in his 30’s, with short brown hair and a beard, around 6 feet tall, and approximately 250 pounds. Anyone with information about this or similar events is asked to contact the Santa Cruz County Sherriff’s Office.
