2-men were arrested Monday night in santa cruz, after robbing multiple victims at gunpoint, during a crime spree throughout santa cruz county. santa cruz police- officers responded to an armed robbery on gault street just before 9 p.m. after getting a description of the suspects (and their vehicle) officers determined that the same suspects were likely responsible for 2–previous robberies that had just occurred. 1 of those incidents occurred in watsonville, and (just a half-hour later), the other robbery was reported in capitola. None of the 5 total victims were reportedly injured in the armed hold-ups. The 2-suspects were located in their vehicle in a parking lot at soquel and Morrissey boulevard. 20-year-olds rudy ruiz and ruben Hernandez were arrested, and were booked into santa cruz county jail on multiple charges. the investigation is on-going.
