A 40-year-old man was arrested in the live oak area of santa cruz county today, after authorities reported finding a small bomb in his backpack. a santa cruz county sheriff’s deputy contacted glenn goclon on brommer street, near 30th avenue, when he attempted to flee. when the deputy tackled him, goclon said that he had a bomb. The sheriff’s department bomb squad was called to the scene, and used a robot to determine that there was an apple juice container filled with gunpowder, in his backpack. The device was destroyed at the scene without incident, and Goclon was taken into custody.
