A man, who pleaded No Contest to committing an armed robbery in Salinas, has been sentenced to 5 years behind bars. 23 year-old Jovanny Aguirre robbed the convenience store of just over 500 dollars before he fled the scene. When spotted by Salinas police officers, he led them on a chase through city streets until he failed to correctly navigate a turn and his vehicle hit a center divider, went air-born, and landed in an intersection.
