Construction work on a long-awaited Santa Cruz multi-use trail is expected to break ground next month. The news comes after the City was recently issued a Coastal Development permit for the Arana Gulch Multi-Use Trail project. Ground breaking is scheduled for November 4th, and work is expected to take about a year to complete. The multi-use pedestrian and bicycle trail will connect Arana Gulch to the Broadway/Frederick and Brommer/7th intersections, and will include a one-half mile of all weather trails along with a 340-foot bridge over Hagemann Gulch.
