An Aptos woman was injured in a solo crash yesterday afternoon. Officials say the 28-year-old was travelling up Hames Road shortly before 1 p.m. when she struck a guardrail on a curve. She then swerved into a dirt hill and overturned her vehicle. She was extracted from the car and transported to the hospital. At this time, it is unclear if her injuries were life threatening or if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Hames Road was closed for an hour while crews cleared the roadway.
