A TREE-LIGHTING CEREMONY TOOK PLACE IN APTOS LAST NIGHT. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CHILLY LAST NIGHT, NUMEROUS PEOPLE TURNED OUT TO TAKE PART IN THE APTOS VILLAGE TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY. THE TREE, WHICH WAS ONLY 9 FEET TALL WHEN RESCUED FROM A DEBRIS PILE AND PLANTED IN APTOS VILLAGE, NOW STANDS 50 FEET TALL. THE COMMUNITY EVENT ALSO SERVED AS A DROP-OFF SITE FOR CANNED FOOD ITEMS TO BE GIVEN TO SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK.
