2-more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old man in aptos on Wednesday. 3-people are now in custody. 21-year-old Prunedale resident Alfredo alanis Garcia was arrested hours after the 6 p.m. shooting, which occurred on the highway-1 overpass at freedom boulevard. The victim, 21-year-old Fernando martin Mendoza-avila died at the scene, after being shot from a passing vehicle. Santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies have now arrested 21-year-old Prunedale resident Christopher Herrera and 20-year-old las lomas resident Rafael barron. All 3-suspects were arrested for murder, commission of a crime for the furtherance of a gang, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
