A lockdown placed this afternoon on Aptos High School was lifted after CHP officers were searching for one of 2 men who lead officers on a high-speed pursuit. Officers tried conducting a traffic stop just before 3 p.m. on Shadowmere, an area above the school, when the two men inside the van fled on foot. Officers were able to detain the driver of the van, while a foot chase ensued with the passenger of the van. The lockdown was lifted as of 3:15 p.m.
