A 59-year man suffered critical injuries yesterday after crashing with a pick-up truck in Aptos. The just before 9 a.m. collision occurred when the man was riding a road-bike south of Cathedral Drive north of Burns Avenue. Officials say the cyclist collided with the front of a 1998 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 40-year old Santa Cruz man after police say the man was driving too slow. The cyclist, who wore a helmet, was ejected from his bicycle. Investigations continue into what prompted the crash.
