(08:00) Santa Cruz – A hearing has been set for a man who is accused of killing his mother. 44 year-old Kasey Gaskell allegedly stabbed his mother, 66 year-old Shannon Magner, in the neck. The incident took place in Gaskell’s Front Street apartment in September. A hearing is set for June 19, at 9 a.m. in Santa Cruz County Superior Court. If convicted, Gaskell would face 25 years to life in state prison.
