(09:10) Santa Cruz – A young man who was rescued from the ocean Tuesday night is in a coma. The incident took place around 7:40 p.m. off Lighthouse point on West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz. Witnesses reported that the man was in a group of people jumping off the cliffs at Steamers Lane. According to Surfline, the waves breaking were 2 to 4 feet at the time. Authorities reported that the young man has not regained consciousness and is currently in a coma.
