April 18, 2016: Santa Cruz County Water Coalition to Recognize Donors, Partners

(07:51) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A coalition of Santa Cruz County officials will meet Monday to recognize donors who are supporting a large scale effort to convert properties into drought-tolerant landscapes. The project is being led by the County, the city of Watsonville and the Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency. The goal of the project is to replace over 15,000 square feet of turf every year in an effort to conserve 350,000 gallons of water annually. Project partners include the California Conservation Corps and a dozen local landscapers and nurseries. (S.G.)
