as testimony continues in the murder trial of 2 salinas men, one of the suspects’ wives refused to validate her statement which implicated her husband. 26 year-old julian escobar and 27 year-old jose avelino sandoval are accused of killing 19 year-old angel escobedo in the apple hill neighborhood in 2009. the wife of one of the suspects has recanted her story to police, saying the whole story had been a lie told out of anger at her husband. testimony is expected to wrap up next week.
