Rallies were held in both Santa Cruz and Monterey yesterday in support of the women who have accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, the subject of yesterday’s congressional hearing.
Here in Santa Cruz, about 65 people gathered at the Clock Tower. One of the speakers was Bettina Apthecker, a distinguished professional of women’s studies at U-C-S-C. Apthecker spoke in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who testified at the hearing.
Kavanaugh denies all the allegations against him.
