A special presidents’ day event resulted in 34-animals being adopted in monterey county over the weekend. the adoption event held by the spca for Monterey county allowed customers to adopt a dog for a discounted rate of 50-dollars. Those adopting cats or other small animals could name their own price. 14-dogs, 7-puppies, 2-ducks, a snake and a guinea pig all found homes.
