a soledad man is expected to survive after the car he was driving was struck by an amtrak train last night. the train hit the car just after 6:15 p.m. while the driver was on front street. no one on the train was injured in the incident. the driver of the car was life-flighted to a bay area hospital to be treated for his injuries.
