A man accused of abducting a 16-year-old girl following the murder of 2 people, appeared in monterey county court yesterday. juan manuel Salazar junior was originally accused of committing the 2-murders before leaving the san ardo home with the 16-year-old girl. Authorities are not currently pressing murder charges against Salazar, but remains under investigation. he is accused of illegally taking the girl from her house, (where the bodies were found). Salazar maintains that the girl, (Eunice serrato), left voluntarily with him because she was scared. The preliminary hearing is scheduled to continue September 20th.
