A statewide Amber Alert was issued today in Stanislaus County after a 4-year old boy was abducted by his mother’s ex boyfriend. The suspect, who has been identified as 27-year old Jose Esteban Rodriguez, abducted the boy Juliani Cardenas at around 4:12 p.m. yesterday at the home of the boy’s grandmother in Patterson. Authorities warn the boy could be in danger since Rodriguez has a history of being convicted of involuntary manslaughter as well as assault and battery. He was last seen driving a silver Toyota Corolla with license plate number 6-H-B-W 4-4-5, the vehicle also had a “donut” spare tire on the front passenger side. Authorities believe Rodriguez could be headed to San Jose. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
