45-year-old Ryan Lee Brand of Santa Cruz was arrested and booked on charges of attempted murder and arson over the weekend.
That after he was accused of setting fire to a home that was occupied near 25th Avenue and East Cliff Drive near Pleasure Point.
No injuries were reported, and everyone in the residence got out safely.
Brand’s bail was set at $750,000, and the investigation is ongoing.
