An 18-year-old man who was in a car that went into the water yesterday, later died from his injuries. Scotts valley resident joseph freeman-dellamora was in the passenger seat of the vehicle, which went off the road on a farm off of coast road, in davenport. The su.v. ended up sinking into a gully. The teen was trapped in the submerged car for several minutes, before a witness rescued him. Paramedics took him to Dominican hospital, where he later died. The driver of the vehicle, 49-year-old les olimpio, suffered minor injuries. Authorities are investigating what caused the wreck.
