Assembly Bill 65, authored by Assembly Member Luis Alejo, passed out of the assembly Public Safety Committee today with unanimous bipartisan support. The bill will appropriate funds for the purpose of purchasing body worn cameras for local law enforcement officers. Next, the bill will be heard in the Assembly Appropriations Committee where it will be analyzed on a fiscal basis.
