A bill by local Assemblymen Mark Stone was approved today by the housing and community development committee. If signed into law, Ab-1269 would establish a process for the investigation (and mediation) of the Mobile Home Residency Law. More than 700-thousand people in California are said to live in mobile home parks, and this could give them a way, other than litigation, to get their potentially substandard living situations cleared up. AB-1269 goes next to the Assembly Appropriations Committee.
