A Watsonville car thief was arrested in Capitola on Friday. Shortly after 8 p.m. officers responded to a reported stolen vehicle on Dolores Avenue, a suspect description was obtained and a multi-agency alert was issued. Minutes later the CHP responded to a road rage and collision incident, involving the stole car, at Highway 1 and Park Avenue in Capitola. The suspect fled the area on foot and was apprehended nearby on the 800 block of Balboa Avenue. 20 year old Anthony Jacob Juarez-Ibanez was booked into county jail on DUI, Hit and Run, and Car Theft charges.
