A Santa Cruz man is facing drug charges following a trafficking investigation. The Santa Cruz county Anti-Crime Team narcotics task force began investigating 32 year old Esteban Ruiz that after he was caught driving with a firearm in may of last year. On April 1 officers served a search warrant at Ruiz’s house on the 1000 block of Cayuga Street. The search uncovered 256 g of heroin and over 20 g of methamphetamine. Ruiz has been booked into Santa Cruz county jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
