An inmate of Santa Cruz County Jail died this morning. 23 year-old Krista Deluca was undergoing drug detoxification when she went into medical distress. She had been arrested in Capitola on September 24th (on 5 outstanding warrants, as well as a number of drug-related charges). She was scheduled to appear in court this morning.
