A Santa Cruz bank was robbed Friday afternoon. Authorities say the robbery took place the U.S. Bank on the 100 block of Morrissey boulevard, when shortly after 3 p.m. an unarmed man in medical scrubs and a blond wig handed a teller note demanding money, the teller complied and the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money. A Santa Cruz police k-9 unit was brought in while several other law enforcement agencies assisted in setting up a perimeter. The search was called off at about 5:30 p.m. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Santa Cruz police.
