A rock climber was rescued in north Santa Cruz County on Saturday. At about 6:30 p.m. emergency crews responded to a rock climbing site south of Greyhound Rock where a climber was hanging upside down and slipping in and out of consciousness. A Cal Fire rescuer repelled 100 feet and attached a rescue line from a CHP helicopter to the victim. The man was pulled to safety and transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
