A newly implemented jet flight path has Santa Cruz County residents concerned. A landing approach to San Francisco International Airport that now crosses over Capitola and Soquel before turning north near the summit and flying over the ridge top of the Santa Cruz Mountains up to San Francisco. The new approach pattern began causing noise problems for residents who had moved to the area specifically for quiet months ago. Residents understand the need to relieve air traffic congestion, but are asking the F.A.A to at least rase the altitude of the flights.
