Nearly 200 fire personnel are working to contain the 1,050-acre Colorado Fire that broke out Friday night in Palo Colorado Canyon. As of this morning they had 25% containment on this wildfire. Firefighters are currently using 1 helicopter, 6 water tenders, 1 dozer, and 16 engines, to grow that containment further. The Evacuation Center at Carmel Middle School is still open, and Highway 1 is still closed to travelers between Garrapata Creek and Point Sur. As of this morning, 1 structure had suffered fire damage.
