Members of Cal/OSHA are expected to vote this week on a proposal that employers keep mask and social distancing requirements in place until early next year….in some settings. That differs widely from the CDC’s guidance that was issued last month. A spokesperson for a Bay Area-based worker advocacy group said that “The language (of Cal-Osha’s proposal) seems better calibrated to actual workplace conditions”, rather than the “broad-brush relaxation recently proposed by the federal CDC.”
