Libraries across Monterey county are beginning to re-open. 11 of the 17 branches of Monterey County Free Libraries have partially re-opened, along with Pacific Grove Public Library. The Monterey Public Library is expected to re-open in July. All California libraries closed early in the pandemic, and they have worked to add curbside services the county libraries started adding services they could provide while the general public stayed outside the doors. All locations offer curbside document printing, faxing, scanning and copying….and Wi-Fi is available in the parking lots at all locations. The 11 MCFL branches that are already open are: Pajaro, Prunedale, Castroville, Buena Vista, Seaside, Carmel Valley, Gonzales, King City, San Lucas, San Ardo and Parkfield branches of Monterey County Free Libraries are now open, and the Buena Vista Branch south of Salinas is scheduled to re-open this Saturday.
