An allocation of $150,000 has now been made by Marina city leaders for the emergency repairs of the Water City Sports Center. That after the facility was red-tagged due to significant fire, health, life safety, and other code violations. Reportedly the tenant for about 20 years, Water City Roller Hockey, had an obligation to maintain the facility….including the upkeep and maintenance of all fire and life safety systems in the structure. The tenant was made aware of the lapses, and given time to remedy the situation, but were unable to make the needed repairs….. And so they voluntarily terminated their lease.
