The preliminary hearing is continuing today to determine if a man accused of killing 1 person (and injuring some others) in Santa Cruz county, will go to trial. A 30 year-old Sureno member from San Jose is accused of killing Kevin Medina-Lopez, and the attempted murder of some other people, as well as car-jacking, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and other special allegations. Before fleeing the scene of the shootings, Albaro Amaral reportedly dumped Medina-Lopez’ body on Laurel Road in the Santa Cruz mountains.
