A 27 year-old Salinas man died in a solo-vehicle accident early Friday morning. The accident occurred shortly after midnight on Del Monte Avenue near Cunningham Road, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it hit a utility pole. Although life-saving measures were attempted Demarshe Ervin was declared dead a short time later.
